Default 1994 GMC Suburban?? I need advice before buying!?

Ok so I am looking into buying this truck. Its a 4x4 and in overall good shape for its age. But I am just wondering if anyone else thinks that it may be priced to high? He is asking $3000 for it. And it has 292,000 miles on it. That's the downside, I don't wanna buy it and 5-8 thousand miles later it crap out on me. lol. Please let me know what you think. Thanks!

Miles are too high unless they have proof of newer engine/transmission. You should be able to find a 94 for $1200 or so. Check craigslist in your area.
On a different note, stay away from 1997 Suburbans, they are problem vehicles.
I sold a 1986 Suburban for $1800 a year ago. It had 210,000 miles on it and the guy drove to San Diego from Phoenix to buy it, but it was a dually with a big block.

That's way to many miles and the price is ridiculous. In average condition it's worth $500 tops. in very good condition maybe $1,000. He's dreaming if he thinks he'll get $3,000.

$3,000 should put you in a 97/98 Suburban in very good condition with about 125,000 miles.

Keep shopping around, log on to http://www.autotrader.com/. You can compare prices on the vehicle your looking for to buy. $3000.00 for the Suburban with that many miles is crazy, and there is juts to many moving parts that would be worn out and will need to be replaced. When you do find you next Suburban, inspect the fuel lines and brake lines for corrosion. Easy fix, but costly. Good luck and keep us all posted, would like to know you found a Suburban as your new ride.

I just bought a 94 suburban with 178,000 miles on it for $1200. On Kelly Blue Book, which is usually a little high in my opinion, it said it was worth $2000. What its worth and what people will pay for it is completly two different things. But anyway i love my 94 and i am happy i bought it. But no, I would not have paid over what i did for it. And Howard saying $500, i like to dream sometimes too
