Used to work at a speed shop in Cape Cod, MA and hit the drag strip on the weekends with the rest of the crew. After a few blown engines and transmissions. I learn the hard way, and I still keep learning the hard way LOL. remember, fit it when it breaks. Not before, unless your planing to break it.

Feel free to ask any more questions if you not sure about something, I may have tried it, replaced it, or wrecked it LOL. Secret about the 4.3 if your going to supercharge it or turbo charge it, replace the head gasket and double it up. The heads have a higher torque then the 3.8 Buick Grand National and when you have a detonation, you end up with a connecting rod through the block or you loose the bottom end oppose to the Grand Nat's that would only end up having a blown head gasket which is the easier fix then rebuilding an engine LOL. Keep up the great work there barks

How did you make out with the mod's i told you to try with your jimmy????

Haven't done any of them yet. Working tons of OT right now while it's available. Maybe get to them in the spring. Will have to get leaking fuel line fixed first.

Will do, started to work on my son's 1996 Blazer we picked up this winter for $500.00. Guy was having problems with the transmission and was tired of putting money in to it. Traced it down to why it was in limp mode, the wire clip at the transmission was damaged and just re-soldered the broken wires and the transmission seams to be working fine. We did open up the front of the air filter box, de-screen the MAF sensor and worked on the Throttle body blades, as soon as we save a few more money. Transmission going to to get worked on to give it a firmer shift and we did manage to install Corvette rims on her now, the only mods need to be done was the front axle need to be grinded down so we could put the end caps on the rims. They we're off and 1987 Corvette 16X8 and the tires are 255/55R16, this should go around corners like it's on rails LOL. Looks like my son and i have a year long project.
