I am sure it is!! the problem is called low speed abs brake activation. you need to hound your dealer, or try another dealer. this needs to be taken care of.

#05068C: Product Safety - Front Wheel Speed Sensor Corrosion - (Mar 6, 2008)
Subject: 05068C -- FRONT WHEEL SPEED SENSOR CORROSION
Models: 1999-2002 CHEVROLET SILVERADO
2000-2002 CHEVROLET TAHOE, SUBURBAN
2002 CHEVROLET AVALANCHE
1999-2002 GMC SIERRA
2000-2002 GMC YUKON, YUKON XL
LOCATED IN THE SEVERE CORROSION AREAS LISTED BELOW

"General Motors has decided that a defect, which relates to motor vehicle safety, exists in certain 1999-2002 Chevrolet Silverado, 2000-2002 Chevrolet Tahoe, Suburban, 2002 Chevrolet Avalanche, 1999-2002 GMC Sierra, 2000-2002 GMC Yukon, Yukon XL vehicles located in the areas listed below. These vehicles may have a condition permitting corrosion to occur between the front hub/bearing assembly and the wheel speed sensor. If the brakes are applied while the vehicle is traveling at a speed of greater than 6 km/h (3.7 mph) but less than 16 km/h (10 mph), the corrosion may cause an unwanted anti-lock brake system (ABS) activation"

If you think it's not your ABS acting up, it could be your U joint needing to be replaced. The needle bearings in the U joints my be dried out and is binding at low speeds and will need to be replaced with new ones. Not a hard job to do, but if your u joints have never been replaced before. Have a shop replace the original OEM u joints, there glued in place and your going to need a blow torch to melt off the old glue to get the end caps off the drive shaft to replace the U joints.

Good luck and keep us all posted on why your Sierra is making the ticking noise.
