Just got a 98 sonoma yesterday, Didnt notice that the carpet is wet under both rubber mats. Dont feel like antifreeze, Not sticky, I have a Lincoln Town car that I had that problem with and it was the vent. Do the sonomas have that problem too?

I had a wet floor under mats in my 96 sonoma. I turned out to be a leaking heater core. I would just double check to make sure its not leaking. You say it doesnt smell like antifreeze, but maybe the person before you had that problem and just was putting water in the radiator instead of refilling with antifreeze!?

I just bought a 98 ext cab sonoma a couple of weeks ago, while changing out the stereo, and running wires down each side under the door sill trim, I noticed damp carpet padding. My guess is when riding in damp weather, the moisture is getting in through the slots in the floor pan that the sill trim snaps into.
