This is not a great idea, not a suggestion, only an observation. A sales-oriented car stereo shop will try it because they want to make the sale, but adding subwoofer to the system will throw off the balance and tonal quality. The subwoofer sound will most likely not be proportionate to the Bose speakers. The sound quality may or may not be enhanced -- certainly not evenly at all volume level. Although I have seen subwoofers added to the Bose system, and have observed two different hook ups. One, the audio tap taken directly from the output behind the stereo, and second, a Hi-Low level adapter http://www.installer.com/hilo/ (manufactured by PAC with level adjustments), with the audio tap taken directly from the rear speaker terminals . Please do not use the Hi-Low level built into the amp you are installing, you may cause the Bose amplifier to be over worked and burnt.

Noter all GM radios have the auxiliary audio input the problem is that the wiring and module is not in the vehicle, this port was there for the rear dvd system and you can plug this into the 12 pin plug on the back of the radio use this http://www.oemautosound.com/c-87-gmc...onverters.aspx

Talking GM Bose Stereo

Hey Molson,
Just wanted to say thanks for your input on the Bose stereo question. I checked out some of your stereo links and found some good info.
I'm new to this site and I just bought a 2005 GMC Envoy Denali with the Bose 6 speaker,Navigation radio with XM and the works. I am pretty impressed so far. Love the sound quality, at higher volumes even.
Thanks again
Robert
