I recently puchased a 95 GMC 2500 with a newer Stroker motor. Ran great for the first few weeks, but now it stalls from time to time. Usually restarts afterwards, but notice the volt meter does not read any volts when the problem occurs. If I trun the key and the volt meter registers, it starts, but occasioanly the meter will not register, and it won't start. Just replaced the ignition mod in the distrubutor, but did not solve the probelm. Any ideas?

Classic signs of a faulty ignition switch or wire harness to the switch. Instect the wire harness and the ignition switch to your Sierra and if that's in 100% working order, we can go from there. ;)

Short in ignition

Thanks Molson,
Found a short in the ignition wiring, which appeared to be from wear. I cleaned up the wiring and fixed the short which seems to have solved the problem.
