would it be ok to plug off the oil cooler lines from the oil filter housing on my 98 sierra 2500? they are leaking pretty bad and i dont have the cash to replace them right now. i dont pull a trailer or do any industrial plowing but do plan on plowing my driveway as well as my dad's this winter.

Smple fix if your good with tools. The compression clamp that GM used are press fit and ofter time the hose will shrink and oil will leak from the clamp will the hose expands.

The fix is to cut off the old GM compression clamp and replace it with a new compression clamp. Don't use a hose clamp, A COMPRESSION clamp. http://www.fixya.com/cars/t4133813-oil_cooler_lines_leaking
