Default How to remove seats from a 2001 GMC jimmy?

I have a 2001 GMC jimmy 4d and I am planning on giving the whole inside of my car a shampoo. There has been juice, soda, water, alcohol and other liquid spills inside. I want to give it a super cleaning on the inside before I take it to get fixed. Can someone give me good detailed steps on how to remove the seats so I can give it the best possible cleaning. Thanks

I would use a plasma cutter. LOL Well, it would work but...

Actually your seats are anchored to the floor by (4) 15 mm nuts. These nuts in the front are covered with a plastic colored cap. I use a screwdriver to pop this cap off. If you are very careful you can reuse the cap, but my results are mixed. LOL To gain access to the rear seat bolts one cap is screwed onto the frame (passenger side). Use a Philips screw driver to remove the screw and this cap and then the nut is exposed. The bolt closest to the driver's side is covered by a large trim piece. You remove the Philips screw and then snap out the trim by pulling it towards the driver's door.

Remove all four 15mm nuts, then remove the seat, after disconnecting all electrical connections (there should only be one connector for each seat).

Now it's time to remove the center console (if you have one)! LOL
