Default 2017 GMC Acadia Anti Lock Brakes

When driving on snow, the anti-lock brakes are too liberal causing you to take longer to stop. Has anyone else had this experience? The tires are the stock tires and were a year old at the time. I put the traction control setting but it had no influence on stopping performance.

We also have a 2010 Edge and it has great performance on the same areas of snow covered roads. I drove both cars in the same areas in our sub-division. The tires on the Edge were 3 years old.
