Default EGR Delete! BLOCK OFF PLATE

Hey Everyone!

I own a 1995 GMC Sonoma SLS 4.3L V6 TBI RWD.

I recently made and EGR Block off plate to stop those pesky exhaust gasses from entering my cylinders

The EGR on my Sonoma is electronically actuated which makes this a very simple and fun project.

First, you will need to remove the air filter housing to have easier access to the EGR.
Next disconnect the wiring from the back by pulling on the plastic plug. Be careful not to snap the clip as it will probably be old and brittle.
Next, remove the 2 bolts that hold the EGR in place. You will now have something that looks similar to the pictures. The installation is the exact same as the removal, except with a plate between the EGR and the intake manifold. I suggest adding some high temp liquid gasket around where the ports would be.

I placed my EGR on a sheet of steel and used a scribe to draw the outline.
I used a grinder to out out my design and a drill to make the bolt holes.
