backing

Trying to replace the drivers side brake backing plate for my 89 Suburban 4x4. I've spent the past week searching the U.S., and I can't find one. Can I use a brake backing plate from a 2wd? How about from a 90 or newer? I've got mixed answers from the "experts". Original part # is 14055279...
