blower motor resistor

My wife's 2004 GMC Envoy developed a new problem. When you turn the car off the blower motor continues to run on high. I have to remove the fuse to get it to stop. I understand it could either be the resistor or the relay? Which should I try first and does anyone have pics or a schematic that...

1997 GMC Jimmy 4.3l engine. Ac/heat would blow intermit at differ speeds. Then just totally stopped. Checked 20amp fuse. No issue. Write ups said most likely resistor or motor. Replaced both. No change. Any suggestions? Relays? In-line fuses? Interior switch? Thanks for any tips
