I have been reading about knock sensors with these trucks and I have come up with... they commonly fail due to corrosion around the sensor. What I would like to know is how do I tell if it is going bad, or if its actually detecting a knock. I was on a trip when the light came on, and I looked in to it and came up with the know sensor code (I cant remember it off the top of my head). And like an idiot I cleared the code. But so far its been 2 weeks and the light hasn't come back on. I do hear what I believe is a lifter tick, but I certainly don't hear a knock. I just bought the truck almost 2 months ago and it came on a month and a half later.
