03 Savana won't turn over

I'm stranded. Gauges light up but nothing when trying to start. Selector shows to be in 2nd gear no matter where I put the shifter. This is 1st time ever this happend. Took positive cable off battery hoping to maybe reset sensors. No luck. Can I somehow bypass the neutral safety to get it to start?

yes you can but will need two people (one that you trust with your life)

have some one at the key to turn it on and STEP ON THE BRAKE while you go under and jump the starter (put power front the big cable to the small wire) this will let it turn over if the starter is good or if you have enought battery.

The van wasn't stuck in 2nd gear, but the dash selector indicator light showed it to be despite the fact the trani was actually in park. I crawled under by myself with ignition on & van in park & jumped starter with a screwdriver just like an old pickup or something,& it fired right up. It still didn't fix the electronic failure problem, but I was able to dive the van to a dealer.
