04 Sierra a/c not cold

My 04 gmc Sierra a/c does not blow cold. I have replaced the high pressure switch. The coolant level is good. The compressor kicks on and off. Makes a funny noise and seems to operate "slow"? fuses are all good. Low pressure switch is good. Compressor comes on quietly. Not sure what my problem could be?

It sounds like you have a low refrigerant charge. For about $50 you can buy a cheap set of gauges and check the pressure when the compressor kicks on. For about $30 you can get a recharge kit with a low side gauge. It'll tell you the suction side pressure only. I've used them in a pinch.
