Newby here, I bought the 09 new, and I have been trying to figure out why my diff clunks, history: winter of 09 was in OK. visiting family, snow storm, was trying to pull out of Autozone after getting some wiper fluid, snow plow piled up snow at entrance, so I slowly but surely plowed my way out onto street. Now my trac. control kicked in and rearend made a lot of noise which I assume was normal, after that for quite some time now ( to this day) it still has slack as I call it, have had to dealer 6 times, everytime they say couldn't reproduce it, finally got a service manager to tell me the GM opened up the tolorances because of complaints of whine, the last time they actually check the shims and said it was out of spec and adjusted it, but still getting noise, and yes and shaft has been grease to stop binding at the trans.
Now I know a little about GM, have work for them for years, was even a Final repair mechanic at the Spring Hill plant where we built the Traverse and Saturn before that. So I can fix most problems but setting up a rearend I have no experience no want to, really don't want to screw up my warranty, any help, or does anyone have a number to call GM and complain ?
Thanks
