Hi all
A 1984 Jimmy appeared on the side of the road around here a few weeks back, and when I called the owner, he was asking $2200 for it. I'll admit that I'm a Ford guy, and I don't know a lot about Chevy/GMC vehicles and how well they retain value. That being said, I don't think this Jimmy is worth $2200, maybe more in the range of $800-$1000 (what a bronco would go for in similar condition)
Has the 6.2L diesel, which leaks a little oil. Odometer says 130K miles. All the trim and badges have been removed, but I think there was a Sierra Classic badge on the back quarter panel. All the panels are solid, and don't have any rust spots. As you can see on the inside, there's no carpet. There's a hole about the size of a potato in the passenger front pan, but is easily fixable. Rest of the floor is solid. Missing a vent on the pass side, as well as the mirror. Drivers seat has a nice rip in it. Seals around the top feel solid, and the fiberglass on the top itself is in nice condition. Paint is less than good, and has some primer showing through.
I'm not looking for a show stopping vehicle. I'm just looking for a full size that can tow a trailer full of wood, that I can take up snowboarding, and that I can DD to school everyday, without killing my wallet (read; I'm a poor high school student).
Any help is appreciated
