I am trying to get the whole front dashboard out so I can replace the firewall/ insulation.
At first I thought I could simply take out the seat then get under the dash but as soon as I looked down I was slapped with reality.
Any help regarding this task would be most appreciated.
As long as I can remove the old firewall, break/scrub/acid any rust/holes, fill, and lay down new insulation (not nessecarily the corkboard firewall) I would be happy.
Car info:
1985 gmc high sierra 4x4, full cab, v8 305.
I removed everything from the interior (that being the seat).
I got the car from a friend and it was in the bushes for a while so I wanted to clean it out and break/acid any rust, fill the holes, and do my best to make this my main vehicle so that means NO leaking cab... which is what is happened from the rush behind the firewall.
once again, any help = much love!
Thank you!
