1988 GMC Jimmy/blinkers

I have a 1988 GMC Jimmy the blinkers just stopped working but the four ways/hazard lights still work. Any ideas? Also it doesn't always pop into gear right for example if I'm putting it in park it might roll back a little before it catches and the same when putting it in drive sometimes it'll be a second before you hear it click into gear. So all the help I can get would be very much appreciated!
