1989 GMC s15 4 cyl. - timing chain or timing belt

I believe this year and model had timing chain and not belt correct?
if so...where can I buy cost effectively? I cant find it on auto zone or other local stores...neither eBay or rock auto ...

And my head gasket needs replaced so I was thinking I should timing chain as well...but do I really need to?
