Hi, I have a 1992 GMC Sierra with a 5.7L 350. I was wanting to know if taking my catylitic off of it would be way to loud. Right now I have a Y pipe ran to a catylitic converter and then through a Y pipe that leads to duals. So pretty much its a Straight pipe with cat ran into duals. If I was to take off my catylitic converter would it be louder then true duals or what. I live in a place that does not have emissions testings, so taking a cat off wouldnt be a problem. I am just worried if it would be to loud for cops. My setup isnt very loud in the cab at all either, and it doesnt get loud till I get on it. And I don't want to drive around driving my truck rough just to get a good exhaust note, thats why I want to know if this would sound good. Thanks.

yes it would be very loud, i have a 1985 camaro with a small block 400 and no mufflers or cats and you can hear it for blocks

by takin the cat off you will pick up a little bit of power. as far as the sound goes throw a flowmaster on there some where and give it a nice tone.... i dont think you will be disappointed..... but ya no cat and no muffler will be loud and obnoxious and prolly wont be easy on the ears....
