1992 GMC Sierra .. Hi Miles ..What Oil ?

Hey all ...

So we just traded a dirt bike for a 92 Sierra .. Has 202,000 miles on it . Has a couple things that need to be fixed but tranny is smooth and motor running strong . Just passed Cal Smog test yesterday . 17 year old son wants to work on it and drive it for a couple of years . Just was wondering any oil recommendations for truck with that hi of miles . Not sure what previous owner was putting in it , but he said he would put a couple of ounces of Mystery Oil in with every oil change ? Gonna change the oil in a week or so as well as fuel filter and plugs .
Any ideas on what type or brand of oil to put in it ?

Valvoline High Mileage. replace one quart with marvel mystery oil. marvel mystery oil is a sludge eater it will help increase engine life.

My 02 has 349,000 miles. I've been using Valvoline Max Life since 150,000 and couldn't be happier. After this many miles, it's showing wear, so I ask anyone there, should I switch to a full synthetic and how many miles between changes?

I got my 01 new and used Valvoline Conventional 10-30 till 75,000 miles and then switched to Valvoline Max Life and my truck has 190,000 on it now and never had any problems. Really good IMO!
