1992 Sierra Speedometer

As I mentioned in another post, I just got this pickup. It's a 92 Sierra 5.0 with the 4 speed OD trans. The speedometer doesn't work, although I noticed the other day it occasionally bounces, especially when taking off from a stop. So, question is, is it likely the speed sensor or the speedo itself?

im having the same problem on my 4.3. I was told its the DRAC mod.
Unfortunately GM doesnt make em anymore and nearly each one was different. Ive pulled probably 10 of em from the junk and still havent found one to match. Good luck.

you could get a bike speedo from walmart and mount er up...
