1993 gmc jimmy failed smog test due to NOx?

they said that the NOx was due to too much heat in the engine. could this be caused by a cracked or damaged radiator? can that be fixed with a cheap radiator sealant that you put directly into your radiator?

also would i be able to pass the test if the car wasn't warmed up before hand?

The NOx is the oxygen censor you could have trouble with the cat converters being plugged that would be the first thing to check the radiator is not the cause of your problem.
