1994 gmc sonoma cat converter?

i want to know since im not much of a car guy if i ould unclog the cat myself if i take it off or would a shoiop blow it out. i only need the car to last 2 months and dont wanna put no big money into it

You can try that, but I would not count on much success.........they are usually welded in place so you have that expense at the very least

You might as well cut the catalytic converter off and add a straight pipe, you'll have the check engine light on since your O2 sensor will read the lack of catalytic converter. Magna flow has universal catalytic converter for as low as $65.00. Good luck and hope this helps.
