Need to replace passenger tie rod. Bought one from pep boys and it did not fit correctly. Then tried duralast from auto zone and same thing. The diamater of the threads is too large. It will not fit into the adjuster sleeve without good amount of force. Should I bite the bullet and get one from the gm parts counter at the dealer and pay $$$ or try the Moog brand. Moog is a good brand but is it going to fit into the sleeve like the original? Thanks for any help.

Secret, Moog is a parts supplier to GM parts. Only difference is that it does not have the GM parts stamp on it;) Remember you get what you pay for and when it comes to the steering or suspension components, don't go cheap. It's what keeps you from going to to a tree or guard if you can help it.

Believe the tie rod ends for your Sonoma 2wd is about $15.00 at the dealer.

Tie rod price

Thanks Molson. The price at the dealer for an outer tie rod for my truck which is a 4X4 is $124. I will go to local parts store for a moog which about $45.
