1995 4.3L TBI V6 Intake Manifold Removal.

Hi everyone,

This afternoon I am planning on removing the intake manifold on my 4.3L Throttle body injected V6 in attempt to fix what i believe is a bent or broken push rod.

I am curious if anybody knows of any good documentation on this job. Video or writing would be great.

I did a bit of googling but didn't find much for the TBI V6, although they are all fairly similar.

Any help, comments , concerns, advice, or links would be greatly appreciated.

Did you pull it apart? Was it a lot of hard work? Asking because my 97 is leaking coolant from the manifold gasket and the shop want $1100 to replace the gasket. Mostly labor. Thinking of doing it myself.

Hey Biker Art,

It took 5 hours. Could probably do the whole job in 2 hours now that I know the process.

Just go at it, its not overly complicated.
