1995 4l60e into a 1996 sierra

so im into this pretty deep into this, so far i have pulled the transmission out of a 1995 caprice classic 9c1 car. Pulled valve body and electronic harness. this was last weekend! today i pulled the trans out of my truck, pulled valvebody, then i cleaned installed all new orings and installed into the 95 trans. tomorrow i have to swap gear selector shafts and button everything up and install. i was wonder if anyone has done the 95 conversion (i guess you call it) on here? ive heard stories good and bad. do you have any tips on reinstall to help easy install trouble.

okay nobody? what about splicing in my 95 vss pigtail to the 96 harness. will that work? I'm stumped and been googling for hours.

okay so for everyones benefit u can run a 1995 9c1 caprice trans in a 1996 2500 2wd by swapping valve bodies, gear selector shaft and complete harness for the 1996 valve body. install 1996 valve body with harness and all gear selector shaft in to the 1995 trans install trans into truck and splice speedo using donor vss harness. works perfectly!!
