Okay so my truck has having a hard time to start latly. In the morning when i start it up to go to school it will start very fast. And during the day it takes along time to start. I just got a remote starter put in and it will start it in the morning no problem. But if i go somewhere and when i go back to my car it will take like anywhere between 4-7 seconds to start. Then it will run fine. Replaced the (TPS) twice, the fuel pump 3 times, egr valve. fuel filter. Last thing im going to try is the fuel pressure regulator which is usually the problem if you replaced all of the other things.

Check your fuel pressure first and test to see how fast your loose your fuel pressure primed. Try this, prime your fuel system twice. This is done buy turning your ignition to the run position on for 10 seconds and then turning off your ignition off for 5 sec and then on again for 10 seconds and then start the engine. If the engine starts right away, then good chance your fuel pressure check valve has gone bad and that is located on your Fuel sending unit. You can also pinch off the fuel return hose and you should get 75-77PSI and this will test your fuel pump that it can build that much pressure and with it not pinch off the norm is 58-60 at the shredder valve engine running and 62-65 psi engine not running and fuel system pressureized during start ups.

Post me back your Fuel pressure at start up, engine running, and how fast your fuel pressure drops once the ignition has been turned off. If your fuel pressure regulator is leaking, your engine would have idle issues and performance issues. Good luck and post back.
