This is the my first time to the forums so first off I would like to say hello and thank you in advance. I have a 1995 GMC Z71 1500 5.7 4x4.I was curious if anyone has found a better timing for there Truck. I know zero is factory but I hear some people say four and six degrees. At zero my truck runs ok but kinda sluggish (not a very good on the overdrive kick down) then when I advance to four or more if I stomp on it she will die out sometimes then other times kicks down like you wouldnt beleive has alot of pick up and go. I am making sure to disconnect the timing bypass wire and using a light then shutting the rig off disconnect the battery plug wire in connect battery. I'm wondering if even though it's saying I'm at zero or whatever could my distributor be a tooth or two off? Hope this all makes sense thank you again.
