The #5 ENG-1 fuse blows evey time I turn on the ignition. Also the following diagnostic error codes are produced.

P0134 O2 Sensor
P0135 O2 Sensor Heater
P0340 Camshaft Position Sensor
P1406 EGR Pintle Position

Are one of these causing the fuse to blow or is the blown fuse causing these errors?

Inspect your fuel sending unit relay or your fuel pump. The ECM fuse also is the fuse to your fuel pump. The other codes are a result for the blow fuse.

Good luck and keep us posted. ;)

Thanks for the reply. Wouldn't a bad fuel pump or relay prevent the engine from running? The odd thing is that the vehicle runs fine with the blown ENG-1 fuse except for an intermittent engine miss.

Thanks for the response, the ECM 1 fuse then has a short in your O2 sensor. With your DTC codes, address the first DTC codes that you have which is causing the rest of the codes to come up.

Your O2 sensor is heated when the ignition switch is turned on and if there is a short, it would cause your EMC fuse to blow. It will not be your crank shaft sensor cause without a crankshaft sensor reading, your engine will not run.

Good luck and keep us posted.;)

It turned out to be a bad oxygen sensor that was causing all the problems. Thanks for your help.
