1996 gmc gimmy

my 1996 jimmy runs great for awhile then the asb light comes on and the speedomter quits and i have no power goes into limp home mode. help

At first blush I would be suspecting a wiring or connector problem to the ECU

Check the wire harness on the drivers side to the VVS at the end cone of the transmission. Common for the VVS to go bad or the wire harness to go bad.

Start with that and keep us posted.

Thanks for your suggestions it turned out that replaceing the speed sensor fixed the problem .
