1996 GMC Sierra 5.7l vortec. It was running fine until the other morning. It was cold (in the 30s) and I had a flat tire. I could not get the lugs off and had to call for service. While I was waiting about an hour for the truck to show up, I turned the truck on and off about 5 times to get some heat.
I was only 2 minutes from work, so after the tire was changed I went to work. When I started up to go home, it was idling rough and there is a high-speed miss.
I checked the spark plug wire and they seem to be tight. I ran a bottle of Techron injector cleaner through the system. I loosened the battery ground and cleaned the connection.
Any other suggestions for a non-mechanic to try. I am at a loss here.
