1997 Sierra Headlight "Cataracts "

My 1997 headlight lenses and taillight lenses are suffering from the cloudy "cataracts" typical of a vehicle of this age.

Does anyone have any succesful stories of how to remove the cloudiness of the lenses?

I have heard people say you can wet sand them and polish them, or possibly use one of the new headlight restorere kits on the market today.

Any stories of successful cataract removal would be appreciated..THANKS!!

Replace them!

I've not heard any many success stories trying to restore yellowed headlights, so my recommendation is to replace them. I have a '97 as well and bought these:

They bolted right in, seem to be good quality and inexpensive!
