Just a little back story on this... I rebuilt the transmission myself about 15,000 miles ago. It worked fine after the rebuild.

About 5 months ago I got in was driving and I started losing power to the transmission. I was maintaining RPMs yet the speed was tapering off. Over the course of a 17 mile drive I went from 70mph to 30mph. Now when I get in and go from a stop it will act normal till I get to 25-30 mph and then the transmission will act as if I have shifted into neutral.

I was told a while back by a guy that sounds like you lost your high gears and it will need rebuilt again. Having another vehicle to drive I didn't want to spend the time or money to fix it again. The other day I ran across something that leads me to believe it is in "LIMP HOME MODE"

What causes this? I have already checked the fuses and have already replaced the Speed Sensor that is in the side of the transfer case. What would be other possible causes for this?

I do have forward till I get to 25-30mph, I do have reverse, although at times it seems I have to give it a little extra gas to get it moving...possible pressure problem?

This is also with the 4L60E tranny
