I have a 1998 GMC Sierra truck. The power steering pump went out. I changed it. THen it started whining and was real hard to turn. I have replaced the power steering box and another pump. After the last change it was easy to turn until i got 4 to 5 miles down the road then the noise began again and was really hard to turn. What else can I do?

Make sure the steering fluid is at the proper level after working the steering back and forth and driving it. When replacing the power steering pump and steering box, there is a good chance of air in the system and causing the fluid to foam up and then would cause another pump failure.

Good luck and keep us posted.;)
