hello, i received a 1998 GMC Sonoma from my grand father
l
it is the 2.2l 4 cyl automatic transmission ext cab.

it only has 27k on the clock(never drove it)

i think this is doing me more bad then good.

i have been driving this truck around for over a year now with no problems.
since it sat alot i have put in a new air freshener and ran fuel injector cleaner in it for a few tanks.

The tire had plenty of tread on them due to low milage, but the sidewalls were cracking due to there age.

Last tuesday i picked up a set of almost brand new good near tires, and mounted and balanced them at school. truck drove like a dream straight down the road.

Today i when i drove it i noticed a lack in power, i know the 4cyl is doggy to begin with even in that small pick up, but today it was worse. it took forever to get up to highway speed. i went to pass a semi on the highway and i think it took all of 2 miles to do the job.
normally i let the truck shift into overdrive and lock the tc at about 55, then i slowly increase speed untill about 60-65. today when it finally went into over drive, i could not get the truck to acclerate, i slowly pressed on the gas pedal and it had to downshift to get the truck going any faster. i always use this method on my way home out of a nearby town coming from a 30 to a 55, at about 50 it will shift into overdrive and i slowly make my way to 60 even going up a small hill with no problem. today it wouldnt accelerate in od without down shifting.

my second problem is im noticing a vibration accelerating at about 30mph/50mph/and anything over 70. i used to be able to cruise it up to 90 np, now im afraid to go higher than 70 on the interstate.

my new tires are mounted and balanced correctly, and i never felt anything untill today.

any help guys?
sorry for the long post thanks
