1998 GMC Sonoma please help!!!?

My Sonoma has a hesitation around 2000-2500 rpm. It goes away after about 45 minutes of driving. It also seems to have some power loss in the higher gears. This started happening about 2 months ago after filling it up with gas. I have since ran several tanks of gas through it.

It runs awesome after about 45 minutes driving with no loss of power at all and it runs good the rest of the day.

It is 1998 GMC Sonoma ext.cab 4.3 liter V6 automatic with 108,000 miles. Everything is stock besides the Spectre air filter.

The previous owner had the spark plugs and wires, fuel pump and injectors replaced all with in the last 15,000 miles. There was about 10,000 miles on all of these parts when it started acting up. So I don't think that there are any problems with these parts.

Any help will be greatly appreciated!!!

No the engine light is not on.

Start with the simple and replace your fuel filter and thermostat. Make sure the thermostat is the OEM rated 195 degree, the PCM was programed to run the engine best at that temperature.

The fuel filter is located on the inside frame rail under the drivers door area. You can pice up the filter at Auto Zone, and they can give you the step by step instructions to get the job done. Don't forget the quick release fuel line you need to remove the fuel filter.
