Well I have been doing basically a top end rebuild on my 1998 jimmy. New head gaskets, intake gaskets, timing chain, and spider fuel systems replacement, that was a big one because of the cost of a good replacement not a cheap one. Well while removing the harmonic balancer it came off extremely roughly it was certainly a pain in the aas but we got it off after fighting it for a while. Well now that we are going to replace the timing chain that was not to bad at all but since I was there I figured that I might as well get a new one in so I don't have e to worry about that in the future. Well now the crankshaft gear will not budge when putting a pulley puller on it. I watched a couple videos that people left the original gear on and didn't replace it but that's something I have never seen either has my dad in his 30 years of doing this. So does this gear come off and any suggestions as to what to do to get this thing off and get this project done. Please I need to know what's the best option here because the timing chain kit came with both gears. I just don't get why it would not budge even after heating the gear up with a torch so I am at a loss any suggestions would help thanks
