I tow a bass boat and a 24 foot camper. I am looking to increase HP with a dual exhaust system. Currently I have two cats going to one muffler. Any input on headers and parts would be great, Thank you.

Stay single exhaust, the single exhaust will give you more HP on the lower and mid range of your engine's rpm. The Duel exhaust will give you more HP on the top end of your engine's RPM but i don't think you want to be running your engine above the 4000 rpm all the time to get the most out of your Duel Exhaust. Would use a good single 3 inch or 3.5 inch single exhaust to get the most HP out of your engine on your lower RPM since your using it to tow a Bass Boat and also upgrade your air intake system. The two go hand in hand and needs to be done, a cold air intake with a tuned Exhaust would be the best set up and i would not worry about headers unless you have plans to replace internal engine parts like the CAM. In short the best bang for the buck is upgrade the air intake, exhaust, and Dyno tune your Engine and Transmission to wake it up. Good luck and keep us all posted.

WOW... alot more to it than I thought. Sounds like what I have is good enough. Even up the steepest hills I have pulled the travel trailer I don't remember hitting 4000 RPM. Looks like I just saved some money. Thank You.

Magnaflow makes a Cat back for your suburban and clams to add another 22 HP and 22 lb-ft of torque.

There are a few things you can do with your 5.7 L vortec to get more out of it and free to do. You can remove the screen from your MAF, just remove the MAF and place it on a bench. Snake a flathead screwdriver through the MAf, not to touch the filament and tap the screwdriver to knock out the screen. Reinstall and your done, this will lessen the air restriction to your throttle body. The throttle body blade it self has a restriction baffle you can remove. Look down the throttle body at WOT and you'll see a half moon baffle that you can remove. Take the two torque screws off that hold the throttle body blade and then open the throttle to WOT and slide the throttle body blade straight up. You may need to clean the throttle body first with throttle body cleaner, you may find the carbon build may keep you from removing the blade easily. Once you have the throttle body blade off, cut off the half moon restriction baffle and grind down any ruff edges left behind and reinstall. You can buy the modified throttle body from E-bay, but they range from $40.00 to $80.00 and there modified just like yours. You can start with these two things since there free and if you are going to get the exhaust, remember to install a cold air intake system. They both go hand in hand, keep us posted and good luck friend.
