1999 GMC Jimmy 4x4 abs?

i replaced both front wheel barrings/hub assembly which came with new abs sensors now when i start out the abs kicks on when not needed the first few times aplying brakes then abs light comes on and brakes work fine but abs light is on assuming i now do not have abs HOW DO I FIX THIS ISSUE BEFORE WINTER

The bearing hubs that you used to replace them with were ABS designated, Correct? The sensor that you are making reference to is a wheel speed sensor. It tells the EBCM= electronic brake control module when a wheel is at a different speed than the others. This is interpreted as a wheel skid and enables the ABS. When no speed indication is received from the sensors, the ABS light will go on to signal a malfunction with the wheel speed sensors. Sounds like you installed the wrong hubs, better recheck your part numbers for correct application.

take it to any repair shop and they can hook up to your gmc computer and pull the abs codes. the codes will tell you what component is faulty.
