1999 GMC Serria clunking noise

I have a 1999 GMC Serria with 190,000 miles. Recently I've been hearing a noise coming from the rear of the truck when I release the brakes after coming to a complete stop. It doesn't happen all the time it seams only when I come to a semi hard stop. I've taken the truck to my local mechanic who has not been able to resolve the noise. I've done a brake job, replace the shocks, and U-joints still with no resolution. Has somone else experienced this problem and or help me narrow down where the clunking noise is coming from after I release the brakes.

I think I know what you mean, I have a '99 that does the same thing. Idk how loud yours is but mine can be noticeable sometimes. Mine has 170k, I feel like it's just age and normal because the truck still runs great.
