I have a '99 Sierra with a 4.3L V6 2WD and the ABS and parking brake dash warning lights are always on. I have torn apart the truck and inspected the front ABS connectors and wires, and discovered nothing wrong. There are no DTC's on the computer for it, the fuse is fine, and I'm at a loss for what is wrong.

Any suggestions or assistance would be appreciated.

This is probably no help guys, but I have 97 and It has always had the ABS issue as well. I have replaced everything in the line of ABS exept the computer under the hood. It has on and off problems. Sometimes I can run for weeks with no light, sometimes the light stays off but my ABS kick back at me in good clear weather.

really is irritating. Mechanic friend keeps telling me its a dirty sencor and I keep telling him he is an idiot...

I have the exact same problem on my 2000 Sierra. It keeps popping on and it's just annoying If you guys figure out let me know. Good luck on your end

my '98 had abs light come on i bleed the brakes asper the manual what most people don't do when they are bleeding brakes is have the button on the end of the Proportioning valve pushed in i made a little clip from some sheet metal that holds the button in. i have used that clip on more then one vehicle and i still have it in my tool box .
i don't know if that is why the light went out but that is what i did

Abs

Most the time it's a bad pin in the plug or a bad speed sensor hope this helps
