1999 Sierra Antenna cable routing issue

Good morning. My antenna snapped off at the base. I replaced the base but while fishing the cable through the firewall, the string slipped off the cable. I'm stuck...

What is the proper procedure to get access to the cable now? Thanks!

I would say pull the wire out. Feed a coat hanger through and secure the wire to it with electrical tape and try to pull it again. I've put in 100's of car stereos and this always seems to work for me....

I wish it were that easy. The problem i have is that the ducting for the heater is blocking the hole in the firewall. Unless there is an easy way to route this, i'll have to remove all of the ducting. I'm not sure how to do that.

Would a Chilton's manual help me with this?
