OK, so I have a general question about the oil cooling lines.
What's the deal with leaky lines? I had mine replaced, cause they were leaking where the rubber meets the metal flange, and now less than 10,000 miles later they are leaking again.
Is this a design flaw with the lines? Is it a known problem with these engines?
Personally, I don't understand the need for rubber & metal lines; seems to me metal lines bent to shape would do the job fine & would not have the tendency to leak. I think engine vibration would be minimal, and if that was the concern, grommeting the housing should take care of that.
The parts aren't too cheap & the time & effort are a real pain.
Anyone have thought's on this?
