Hello everyone, I'm new here and this is my first post.
I have a 2000 gmc sierra 1500, 5.3L.
The check engine light is on, I have had it checked and it has no code. The truck will on occation idle down real low almost to stall and then idle up high past 1000 rpm. Occasionally the engine will stall with no signs of a drop in idle. what could be the problems that are causing this? The truck has 141,000 mile. One of the mechanics that i spoke with told me that the fuel pump could be going bad, i dont want to buy another pump unless absolutely necessary. is there anything else i should check?
