Hi, I am looking to possibly buy a 2000 Gmc Sierra for $5200; however, it has 200,000 miles. Do you think this is too much for this truck? I am know a decent amount about trucks and I have family members that could fix anything on a car. But I don't exactly want to be replacing the tranny or fuel injectors soon after I get the truck. Any input helpful, thanks.

All depends on the history of the maintenance that was done on the Sierra. If the oil changes were done regularly and the transmission was service according, then 2000 miles is nothing.
My 1996 Jimmy has over 365,000 miles on it now and still runs great wit still the same engine, transmission and rear end. All depends on weather you follow the service intervals and replace worn parts.
Be for you worry about anything like that, inspect the fuel, transmission lines, brake lines and any electrical connections for corrosion oe any signs of corrosion that be costly to replace in the near future.

I bought a 2000 GMC Sierra with 120,000 miles on it last July. It looked very sharp, but there have been many small to medium problems that have become apparent. In fact, it seems that every time I drive it, a new problem surfaces. I'm beginning to see why the last owner kept the truck for only 4,000 miles. I paid $5900 for the truck, and it came with no warranty. However, since I financed it through the dealer, he managed to add on lots of extra charges, and my $5900 truck eventually cost me $7,000 plus interest costs on the loan. I'm a bit disappointed with the number of problems I'm having with this truck, but I suppose any vehicle with 120,000 miles and 11 years old will have a few issues. I previously had two Chevy pickups with between 190,000 miles and 220,000 miles on them . I considered them to be worn out , and not worth putting more money or time into them.
