2000 GMC Sierra 4x4 Clunk Noise In Driveline

Hello, Ive got a 2000 GMC Sierra 4x4. When I take off from a stop or accelerate with it I hear a very loud clunk noise. Possibly from the transfer case area? I tried holding the brakes and accelerating in both 2 wheel drive and 4 wheel drive high and 4 wheel drive low, Makes the clunking noise in all those modes.
I checked the u-joints, doesnt seem to be any play in any on the front driveshaft or the rear driveshaft.

Also I was stuck on ice one time and noticed that only my front passenger wheel spins. there doesnt seem to be any power going to the front drivers side wheel. im not sure if this is normal when in 4x4? or maybe it is connected to the clunking noise?

Thinking that the clunk is coming from your rear leaf spring compressing and flexing with each other every time you stop and go and go over bumps.

Inspect your left spring isolators and try lubricating them with marine grease. Hope this will address your clunking noise and at worst, your going to have to replace the leaf springs due to the De-arching of the leaf's from 14 years of use.

As for the front wheel slipping on one side. That is common due to it being an open end differential and the wheel with less traction will spin when over torqued but the drive trains HP.

Right on, Yeah I guess most of the newer trucks have open end diffs. I shouldve figured that lol.

I tried lubing the leaf spring isolators with no change. I really dont think the clunk is coming from the suspension. It really sounds like its coming from the drivetrain. I got my buddy to hop in the truck and press the brake while pressing the accelerator while I listened outside the truck. and the clunk really sounds like its coming from the Transfer case area. I plowed a bit of snow the other day and it makes a continuous clunk noise while pushing the snow or when the drivetrain is working hard and under stress. I ran out of daylight tonight, but I'd like to take the driveshaft off to check, maybe the u-joints could be seized or maybe something wrong with the slip yoke? not too sure.
