I recently had a O2 sensor replaced. Two days later this code came up on the check engine light. P0410 secondary air injection malfunction .
The pump is located on the passenger side firewall, I felt it after 1st start of the day and it ran for 15 seconds normal. There is no way it's frozen. Could excess water have gotten in it with a faulty O2 sensor?
Should I replace both check valves That thread onto the pipe going into the exhaust? Seems like a easy job, They are 11 years old. They only cost $35 each.
Here are the other codes the secondary air pump can trip. Do you think it is any of these or are the check valves worn or stuck, and does malfunction mean closed since since there are codes for open? And no code for incorrect flow?
