2000 gmc sonoma starter isssues on 2.2

Had problems with started not wanting to engage. paid to have it replaced. still having problems with stater solenoid just clicking. sometimes rolls over weak. alternator and battery are good. any suggestions

Assuming the original starter was bad to start with -

Check to see if the battery terminals are tight , then check the ones on
the solenoid . Check wiring for cuts / scrapes . Re -check the battery .

If none of thee above , then the problem might be with the
ignition switch .
